How to Connect Webmail to Your PC (Outlook, Windows Mail & Thunderbird)

Managing your business email from a desktop email client like Microsoft Outlook or Mozilla Thunderbird enhances productivity with offline search, calendar integration, and desktop notifications.

Here is how to connect your Ovation Hall email address to your Windows or macOS computer.


1. Connecting to Microsoft Outlook (Desktop)

1. Open Microsoft Outlook and click File > Add Account.

2. Type your full corporate email address (name@yourdomain.com) and check Advanced options > Let me set up my account manually. Click Connect.

3. Select IMAP.

4. Configure Server Settings:

  • Incoming mail: mail.yourdomain.com | Port: 993 | Encryption: SSL/TLS
  • Outgoing mail: mail.yourdomain.com | Port: 465 | Encryption: SSL/TLS

5. Type your email password and click Connect.

6. Outlook will establish a secure connection and sync your folder hierarchy.


2. Connecting to Mozilla Thunderbird (Free & Open Source)

1. Open Thunderbird and click Menu > Account Settings > Account Actions > Add Mail Account.

2. Enter your Name, Email, and Password. Click Continue.

3. Thunderbird will attempt auto-discovery. If it prompts for manual configuration, verify that Server Hostnames are set to mail.yourdomain.com with ports 993 (IMAP) and 465 (SMTP) under SSL/TLS.

4. Click Done.
